“There is no greater human tragedy perpetuated by man than the act of ignorance towards suffering and despair.”

I wrote that quote some time ago not knowing that it would be fitting for what is happening in Japan every second, every minute of every day.

If you could take a minute to think what it would be like to lose everything you have ever had including family members you will never be able to bury properly, with literally nowhere to turn to, you still will not be able to comprehend what the people of Japan are going through. Pictures cannot do this tragedy justice. Neither can our imaginations.

Join us for a day of silence on Friday, March 18, 2011. If you cannot then please donate here. Thank you!

Sweet Home Medley – Helping the Homeless

The homeless population in our country is ever growing. Many feel there is nothing we can do to help them. I am not one of those people. Here’s a sad and factual reality:

Families with children are among the fastest-growing segment of the homeless population.
According to the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, 2008

Homeless children are usually the ones who suffer the most from being on the streets. They often cannot enroll in school, and when they do, they are often bullied and teased. Homeless children are also more susceptible to abuse and illnesses of all kinds. The last thing a child should have to worry about is a place to sleep or live.

At EDWA, we promote the beauty of weddings, life, decor, love, and being good to mama earth. With the state of our economy and the state of our earth, it makes sense to be earth conscious and penny wise.

I love consignment shops because I adore vintage clothing. However, bridal consignment shops are different from the traditional consignment shop. Not only do they have vintage dresses they also have the latest dresses by some of the hottest bridal designers that may have only been worn once and is now for sale.

Simply put, would you rather pay $5000.00 for a designer wedding dress or half that price for one that was worn only once? Think about it; you could use the money you saved toward something else like the live band you been wishing for.

Below are a few examples and the sites you can visit to find your dream dress.
