Do We Need A Designated Day to Remind Us How to Love?
Posted on February 14th, 2010Today is Valentine’s Day…a day that most people choose to demonstrate how much they love their significant other. Why do most of us wait until February 14 to show those, whom we should be showing all year, how much we love them? I say celebrate love all year as if everyday was the day you “woke up” and realized you were in love. If you celebrate the love you and your partner have for each other all year long, Valentine’s Day would be a day left for the amateurs. The amateurs are those who have yet to realize that demonstrating your love is an everyday commitment. Trust me; you cannot make up for all the missed moments on February 14.
Not that there is anything wrong with celebrating Valentine’s Day, but imagine how much better your relationship would be if you both celebrated the love you have for one another as if everyday was Valentine’s Day. It sounds cliché but it is true; it is the little things that count. A handwritten letter, a back rub, a passionate kiss as you pass one another in your home, a note on the bathroom mirror, or just giving each other space when needed. All of these are acts of love.
So on this designated day of love, make a promise to yourself to continue to show your love even after this day has ended; commit to show your loved one everyday why you chose them. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. Keep it simple and start with a kiss on the forehead; many will agree, it is the most endearing kiss ever bestowed on a lover.
I wish you and your loved ones today, and all your tomorrows together, a very blessed and love filled Valentine’s Day.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
Posted on December 25th, 2009It’s been a great month for us and with all the blessings and lessons, we are grateful to spend our second Christmas together as we head in to our second year of marriage. I have made mistakes throughout the year some painful and others filled with bliss. I learned from my mistakes (boy have I!) but I still have so much to be grateful for. My wonderful husband, for one, who let’s me make mistakes and rescues me from them, the launch of my website, and the many beautiful weddings and events I will plan or witness in the near future, are just a few. Oh and last but not least, my new Bichon Frise puppy, Jake! Here a few things that my eclectic mind found delightful this week:
These engagement cookies found on The Wedding Co. are perfect for a crafty proposal this time of year.
Coming across the interior design blogspot Cote De Texas. Cote De Texas is about french decor, amongst other wondefully beautiful things, yes in Texas! If you are a lover of chic french design see pictures of a perfectly designed french inspired bedroom here and here. Oh and how beautiful is this daybed? Tres chic!
The sneek peek of the Sex And The City 2 movie.Who cares about the movie? Who am I fooling? I do but really it’s the clothes I am waiting for! Did you see Mrs. Big’s white dress, Christian Louboutin pumps, Chanel clutch, and those shades? GORGEMONOUS!

HOTNESS!
Happy Holiday’s and here’s to an amazing 2010!
