Cover Story Postcards by Anthropologie
Posted on January 30th, 2012I was visiting everyone’s favorite store, Anthroplologie over the weekend, and came across a few things that I put on my wish list. However, as a wedding planner it’s hard not to see something and think that it would be a great for a wedding, too.
I will bet you that many of my fellow wedding planners/designers hate the standard, signature only wedding guest books. Who wants a book filled with eligible signatures? Giving your guest an opportunity to leave you a heartfelt message will create long lasting memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. I love reading the messages our friends wrote for us on our wedding day. You will, too. I promise.
I stumbled upon these postcards on Anthropologie and knew they would be a perfect guest book alternative for the bibliophile couple. These Cover Story Postcards are exact replicas of classic paperback works. Wouldn’t they make a great replacement for the traditional guestbook? They’d make a great replacement for wedding table numbers, too.
There are one hundred in a pack and at a great price; I think it’s a perfect buy. The color of each postcard is different and will certainly match any wedding décor. Another must have from Anthroplologie!

{paper love} Quilling by Sabeena Karnik
Posted on January 9th, 2012I was visiting the lovely blog, Hello Lucky, and I saw the most amazing example of paper quilling. The artist, Sabeena Karnik, is an illustrator, calligrapher, and, apparently, master paper sculptor. Her quilling is incerdibly detailed and makes you linger to study each piece. I am in awe of her patience to create such wonderful works of art. Ms. Karnik your work and you are truly beautiful. You can check out more of her work here.

{Local Love} Newspaper Wedding Invitation
Posted on January 10th, 2011The internet is my favorite place for discovery and my latest discovery is right here in my own backyard. Meet Alchemy Fine Events & Invitations, they are located in the beautiful city San Diego. You can check out their gorgeous blog here.
What really caught my eye, besides all of the gorgeous eye candy on their blog, is this amazing invitation suite. Designed in the fashion of a real newspaper and done in sepia tones this invitation is just like the real thing with crossword puzzles, horoscopes, comics, and personals. How clever is this design? I like clever. It’s my new crush.

The film in the cartridge is the actual invitation. Is that GENIUS or what? You could also use this idea as your Save the Date. Anyway you use it will be a hit guaranteed!

The Illustrations of Renee Rodriguez
Posted on November 2nd, 2010I am all girl. I love pink, shopping vacations, purses, shoes, and anything that has to do with fashion. The list goes on. Now, because of some illustrations I stumbled upon, I can add a few more things to my “Love List.” I am talking about the glamorous work of author and illustrator, Renee Rodriguez.
I came across Renee’s blog a few months ago and it was love at first sight! Her illustrations caught my attention because they are fun and chic without being too cutesy. They definitely have a touch of glamour to them and I love that!
Renee’s illustrations can be used to create shower invites, birth announcements, note cards, and other stationery. The possibilities are endless and they are just so fabulous! I love the fourth illustration from the images below…however choosing a favorite would be difficult.
Not only is Renee an amazing illustrator, she also the author of Fabulous Wishes for You (love the title!). Renee’s book is about wishing the best for your friends, helping them to see the importance of their dreams, and encouraging them to make them come true. I wholeheartedly believe in “write it down make it happen” and so does Renee. This book is all about empowerment and everyone knows I love that!
When you have a moment stop by Renee’s blog and say hello! xo
