Cymbeline 2012 Wedding Dress Collection
Posted on February 1st, 2012Evelyne, Chantal, and Monique are the Cymbeline sisters and the designers behind the Cymbeline brand. For thirty years, these sisters have known exactly what the fashion forward bride wants and it goes beyond the lace and tulle. Artistry and quality is as equally important. These three sisters decided to change the way wedding gowns were made thirty years ago and are still doing so today.
Aware of the latest bridal trends, Cymbeline’s 2012 collection will appeal to the modern, minimalist, or princess bride. Keeping in line with the current fashion and wedding dress trends, there is little fault to find with this collection. I love the graceful and romantic silhouette of each dress. Fortunate for us, there is a Cymbeline is available stateside.

BHLDN Wedding Dress Perfection
Posted on January 20th, 2012For our wedding in 2008, my husband and I got married on a tropical island that was quite warm and incredibly humid. I intended, all along, to purchase two dresses for our wedding day; one for our ceremony and another for the reception. When I initially tried on my dream dress, I didn’t think it was heavy at all. At my second fitting, I completely abandoned the thought of buying a second dress. Something I would soon regret..
As the evening of our wedding progressed, it still felt quite comfortable. However, as our reception approached its third hour, my beautiful wedding dress suddenly became an unfriendly armor of silk, tulle, and lace that I could not wait to take off!
If I could do it all again, I would have purchased another dress to change into like this dress from BHLDN. It is simply stunning. Lighter in weight yet equally beguiling and probably would not require a second change. Which is a good thing because traveling with a wedding dress is no fun.
When I first saw this dress, I studied every charming detail. The beautiful silk covered buttons, the slight hint of a trail and the layers of pleated satin and silk, gives this dress amazing fluidity. Sheer necklines are quite beguiling especially with gorgeous embroidery. Since I won’t be wearing this beauty {I could save it for our five-year vow renewal!} I hope that one of my lovely brides finds it just as beautiful and chooses it for her wedding day.

Wedding Cake Inspired by Wedding Dress
Posted on July 21st, 2011Another amazingly gorgeous cake from Sweet and Saucy. The reason that I love the cakes by Sweet and Saucy is because of the intricate details that are in every cake they have made that I have seen. If I could dream up the most fantastically enchanting cake I am sure they could make it.
This cake had me mesmerized when I came upon it. I will not share the entire post here with you, because you should pay this delightful blog a visit. However, I will share the gorgeous cake inspired by a BHLDN dress. Simply gorgeous both dress and cake…wouldn’t you agree?

{wedding dress spotlight} J. Crew
Posted on July 18th, 2011I absolutely love these images…even more than the dresses, I do believe. Although the dresses are quite gorgeous, the layered pearl strands and the fuss-less hair is perfect in every classic-modern way.

{wedding dress spotlight} St. Pucchi
Posted on June 27th, 2011Whether you are a fan of the pomp and circumstance of St. Pucchi you have to admit a lot of work and detail goes into the dresses of this design house.
This dress is not for the shrinking violet bride. A corset bodice and overlapping layers created with duchess satin and silk organza with a jewel cluster perfectly positioned on one side of the dropped waist creates opulent drama. The drama does not stop there. The back of the dress has it’s own drama with an open lace back.
