{bridal trousseau} Ladies Who Brunch
Posted on February 4th, 2011For the months leading up to your wedding you are going to be inundated with wedding related duties, tasks, and errands. Some of your friends will feel a bit slighted. Understandably so because all you have had on the brain since you said, “Yes!” are your wedding plans.
Be sure to make time for your BFFs. Send your girls a hand written note on a fancy card inviting them to get dolled up for a day of brunch, mani pedis, and non wedding related shopping! Have a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” girl day even if the closest Tiffany to you is your little sister and relax…the wedding plans can wait.

{bridal trousseau} Honeymoon – St. Tropez
Posted on January 21st, 2011I love the idea of going all out on your honeymoon. Pick a destination that you probably will not have the opportunity to visit often and live it up! I know many couples who are forgoing an elaborate reception just to be able to afford a dream honeymoon. My dream locale would be St. Tropez, France. Lots of sun, sand, beach, and Pucci. Perfect!
Have a wonderful weekend!

{bridal trousseau} A New Series
Posted on January 14th, 2011I am so excited! Today is the first day of a new series called {bridal trousseau}.
What is a trousseau?
trous·seau, n. [tr'oo so or troo so' French, from Old French]
The possessions, such as clothing, lingerie, jewelry, etc. that a bride assembles in preparation for her marriage.Every Friday, I will post some deliciously chic attire or an outfit that I’ve put together that a bride–to-be can wear to the many different events she might attend leading up to her wedding day. I’ll be sure to let you know where to get the items you see although you may have similar items in your closet to create the same look.
The first in the series is called…

You have talked to your planner over the phone, you are sure you are signing her on as however, this is your first face-to-face. What do you wear? The initial meeting not only gives you a chance to see if the wedding planner is a great fit in person, it also gives your planner an idea of your personality.
My advice? Let your outfit represent your style. Clothes can tell if you are a romantic, an eclectic-bohemian, a vintage lover, or chic minimalist. Often, our attire is a great indicator of who we are. So allow the true you to be present at your first meeting and save the sweats for later.
p.s. This is similar to what I would wear. What would you wear?
