{DIY} Lace & Lovely
Posted on October 17th, 2011After a weekend of cleaning, trying to find the right color paint for the new place, waiting online at the Apple store, and nursing a sick pup, I was due for some girly glam. Nothing screams femininity more than lace {and amazing French made perfume!} So this week let us start with this fun and easy DIY that I am definitely going to do once the new office is complete.
This lace inspired DIY is perfect for wedding favors or bridal showers. Stack two or three tiles on top of one another, tie it with a beautiful ribbon, add a beautiful lace thank you tag {find a free printable on Martha Stewart} and voilà! So easy that you do not need instructions. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Step one…
Step two, let dry and your DIY is done!

Posted on September 16th, 2011Berries and blooms…a sweet way to set your wedding bouquet apart from your bridesmaids. A few well placed berries in a bouquet can make the difference between a beautiful wedding bouquet and a stunningly unique bouquet. What do you think berry nice or no?

Milk Glass & A Few Words On Wedding Design
Posted on August 31st, 2010This is a two part post. See end of the “Milk Glass” post for the second part.
Milk glass is one of those vintage items that people either collect and display or have no idea what to do with it after collecting it. Lucky for you, I found a few images that might help you use grandma’s treasure trove (or your own) as a great addition to the decor at your country vintage inspired wedding.
Now For a Small FYI on Wedding Coordinators & Designers …
I have said before and I will say it again, a good wedding designer/coordinator must be able to design many different wedding themes and keep fresh with new ideas within the industry in order to service all types of brides. This holds true even if your wedding designer/coordinator’s personal style is city chic, polished preppy, or country comfy.
A great wedding designer/coordinator can make most of your ideas a reality regardless if the design does not reflect her personal taste. A true artist can see the beauty in any design concept. That is the mark of a true design professional. If you read between the lines, you will understand why I used the Milk Glass post to give you my two cents. Remember, I am a planner, everything I do is intentional. {smile}.

An IKEA Wedding Fit for A Princess
Posted on June 7th, 2010IKEA teams up again with Swedish interior stylist, Lo Bjurulf, to highlight IKEA’s newest products. If you can remember the last collaboration between the two, Lo Bjurulf created a party scene using origami lilies and paper cranes. The result was gorgeous.
This time Lo Bjurulf, commissioned by IKEA, created a wedding look inspired by the upcoming wedding of the Princess Royal. I think she nailed it…again.
The white roses accented by various shades of pink and lilac roses along with the feathers used on the place setting, play beautifully against against the gray, beige, and white decor of the room. This room is definitely princess worthy!

Sunday’s Best – Multi Cultural Weddings
Posted on January 9th, 2010Source: Project Wedding
Two years ago, when I decided to leave corporate America to start my own event business I did a year of research. In doing so I realized there were many multi-cultural couples engaged, yet there weren’t many planners focusing on multi-cultural weddings or adding a service to their repertoire that would assist these couples. I decided, along with creating beautiful weddings for all couples, I would also help couples from diverse cultural backgrounds design weddings that would honor the culture and traditions of both partners in a respectful and beautiful manner.
This wedding, featured on Project Wedding and designed by Lisa Vorce of Oh, How Charming!, celebrates and recognizes the cultural diversity of the bride and groom. Elements from the Indian and Mexican cultures, respectively, come together to create a wedding filled with beauty and meaning for the couple and their families.
The brides henna hands, décor, floral arrangements, and color scheme paid homage to the couple’s Mexican and Indian backgrounds.
The bride embraced tradition by wearing the gold wedding jewelry her mother wore 33 years earlier.
The rich colors of the sari and the bouquet match each other perfectly.
The bright colors used on the tablescape perfectly compliment the festivities of the day and the blending of both rich cultures.
