What better day to share your joy and good fortune with those who are less privileged than your wedding day! Enchanted Dream Weddings & Affairs can help you do so in several ways. There are organizations in the San Diego and Orange County areas that would benefit from a donation of food or even flowers.

If you would like to donate untouched food or flowers from your wedding day to a home for the elderly, a local food bank, or homeless shelter, let us know. We will gladly contact the organization of your choice and make the necessary arrangements, on your behalf.

Although guests are not required to give a gift, many will. If you prefer to have donations made instead, give your family and wedding attendants a list of your favorite charities or non-profit organizations along with their contact information. When asked about your registry they can inform your guests, that in lieu of gifts, you would prefer a donation to support a favorite cause.

If you decide to create a wedding website, you can also list a few of your favorite charities along with links to their websites. Etiquette dictates that you do not ask for gifts; however, when guests see that a portion of your website lists your favorite charities, it is an unspoken understanding that you would prefer a donation in lieu of a gift.

Green Weddings

We are happy to help environmentally conscious couples stay "green" on their wedding day. We will incorporate “green” elements into the design and décor of your wedding to ensure that the focus stays on being environmentally friendly. We will introduce you to vendors that will not only understand the importance of your wedding day, but the importance of being Earth friendly as well.

Here are a few “Green Wedding Day” tips:

• Vintage dresses never go out of style! Outfit the entire wedding party, guys too, in vintage clothes. Make it a part of your theme!
• Have a garden tea party! Get permission to have a party in a community garden that needs some TLC. Supply your guests with mini-shovels and plants. As a thank you, give each guest a personalized plantable seed card to continue the celebration of new beginnings in their own garden!
• Use live plants as centerpieces to decorate your wedding reception tables. At the end of the celebration, tell your guests to take them home as wedding favors.
